The customer response to Browsium Ion 3 has been phenomenal. All of the investments we made to make Ion 3 great have been paying off. Customers are finding it more compatible, more robust, and much easier to configure. These three combine to make Internet Explorer and Windows 7 migrations a far less painful prospect for large enterprise.
But even with all of that effort, software is software and it’s really never “done”. So we kept working to improve and refine Ion, unblocking even more scenarios and helping it to fit into even more complex enterprise networks. This brings us to our new Ion maintenance release, which we’re calling Ion 3.1.
Ion 3.1 doesn’t have a lot of visible changes, but it has major improvements to the plumbing. For example:

Who should upgrade to Ion 3.1? Frankly, everyone deploying or evaluating Ion. If you’re already an Ion customer, you can download the new version from the download page sent to you with your license key. If you’re just evaluating Ion now, or are interested in evaluating it, you have two options:
