Today we released an update to Browsium Ion which adds support for Windows 10, further enhances Java version management, and includes a number of customer-requested improvements. Windows 10 momentum in the consumer market is unprecedented, and enterprises are already beginning to plan their migration strategies. As we announced last week, our partner HP has integrated Ion as a core component of its WebApp Accelerator Service for Internet Explorer 11, part of their Enterprise Services for Windows 10. That’s why we prioritized Windows 10 support in this release. It’s important to note that “Windows 10 support” means Ion 3.6 works with IE11, not with the new Edge browser, which has no legacy support or extension model at this time. However, we will be looking for opportunities to help Edge become a great enterprise browser in the future, so stay tuned.
